I am an activist and educator promoting reason and scientific and free inquiry, in the following capacities: Executive Director of the Centre for Inquiry Canada and coordinator of Canadian CFI Communities and campus groups; co-founder of the political advocacy Canadian Secular Alliance; President of the multimedia outreach Freethought Association of Canada.
I've had television appearances on CBC, OMNI, CH and CityTV as well as dozens of radio appearances and coverage in campus, city and national newspapers. I am a frequent guest on CTS, a regular humanist contributor to the Globe and Mail, and have been published in Humanist Perspective, Free Inquiry and Skeptical Inquirer magazines. I am host of the upcoming Course of Reason podcast.
As well, I am the External Director and Editor-in-Chief for the Canadian Space Society and its publication, the Canadian Space Gazette. I graduated from the Engineering Science program at the University of Toronto.
